Partnering with Erajaya, XPeng to Bring Electric Cars to Indonesia

Indonesia’s automotive market is set to become even more competitive in early 2025 with the arrival of XPeng, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand. XPeng has officially partnered with Erajaya Active Lifestyle (ERAL), a subsidiary of Erajaya Group, as its sole distributor in Indonesia. This collaboration marks a significant step in accelerating the adoption of EVs in the local market.

Erajaya Group, widely recognized as a leading tech retail giant, has been expanding its portfolio into various sectors, including active lifestyle and automotive. Through Erajaya Active Lifestyle, the company is playing a strategic role in bringing XPeng’s electric vehicles to Indonesia, ensuring comprehensive support ranging from importation and assembly to after-sales services.

“We are proud to collaborate with XPeng, one of the world’s leading EV players, to drive the development of the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia,” said Djohan Sutanto, CEO of Erajaya Active Lifestyle. He added that the significant growth in EV sales in Indonesia reflects the public’s rising interest in environmentally friendly vehicles.

XPeng plans to debut in Indonesia with its flagship models: the mid-size SUV XPeng G6 and the premium MPV XPeng X9. These vehicles are equipped with cutting-edge technology, advanced features, and artificial intelligence designed to provide a seamless and safe driving experience.

XPeng’s official launch in Indonesia is scheduled for early 2025, potentially aligning with the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, which will take place in February.

The collaboration between XPeng and Erajaya not only underscores their commitment to delivering high-quality EVs but also highlights Erajaya’s active contribution to fostering a sustainable transportation ecosystem in Indonesia.
