Xiaomi’s First SUV Undergoes Road Testing, Resembles Ferrari Purosangue

Photos circulating online depict Xiaomi’s first SUV being tested on Chinese roads, with a design reminiscent of the Ferrari Purosangue. According to Carnewschina on Sunday (June 23, 2024), this marks a continuation of the success of the Xiaomi SU7, which sold 8,646 units in May 2024. The new vehicle, codenamed MX11, is expected to be officially launched in 2025.

Leaked photos show the SUV heavily camouflaged, but the distinctive design of the Xiaomi SU7 is still evident. The long front end features a sleek design integrated with headlights similar to those of Xiaomi sedans. Xiaomi’s latest SUV also incorporates roof-mounted lidar, similar to the Xiaomi SU7.

Previously, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated that the first Xiaomi SU7 would be the dream car for the public. The design of the Xiaomi SU7 is inspired by Porsche and McLaren.

Similarly, the MX11 retains design elements akin to the Xiaomi SU7, with a side profile resembling the proportions of the Ferrari Purosangue. This new model is anticipated to be another dream car produced by Xiaomi for the public.

Detailed information about the Xiaomi MX11 is still limited. However, some leaks suggest that this third model from Xiaomi will use budget-friendly batteries from Sunwoda. The vehicle is scheduled for release in 2025 and is expected to be priced at 150,000 yuan (approximately USD 21,200).
