Mitsubishi answered many people’s opinion about the similarity of their latest SUV XForce with the Lamborghini Urus.
Previously, the Mitsubishi XForce was officially launched at the opening of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) on August 10, 2023. At that time PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) presented the Mitsubishi XForce with two active colors namely Gray Metallic and Energetic Yellow.
Mitsubishi XForce, which is yellow or Energy Yellow, immediately steals the attention. The reason is that this car reminds many people of the sports SUV car that is very popular today, the Lamborghini Urus.
The front of the Mitsubishi XForce is considered a bit similar to the front of the Lamborghini Urus. Moreover, the typical color is also the same, namely yellow.
In fact Naoki Akita, Program Director of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) actually said that the Mitsubishi XForce was actually inspired by cars made by Mitsubishi itself.
It never occurred to Mitsubishi designers to make the shape of the Lamborghini Urus the standard.
“Actually the inspiration did not go there. The inspiration is actually Mitsubishi’s own products and philosophy where we always make cars that are both solid and silky (soft),” said Naoki Akita.
From there the Mitsubishi XForce designers looked at the various cars that had been made by the Japanese car company. Finally, the Mitsubishi XForce was made, the design of which was very new compared to the existing Mitsubishi cars.
The front of the car is now using the latest Dynamic Shield. The rest, the Mitsubishi XForce really adapts the full design of the Mitsubishi XFC concept car.
“A solid design will give a strong impression that this car is ready for adventure while silky gives a prestigious feel,” explained Naoki Akita.
