Wuling’s Most Expensive EV is Targeted to Sell 5.000 Units in 202

Wuling Motors finally officially announced the price of their newest electric car, Wuling Cloud EV, Wednesday (15/5/2024). Currently the Wuling Cloud EV is the most expensive electric car owned by the Chinese car company because it is sold at IDR 398 million on the road.

It is known that other Wuling electric cars, namely the Wuling BinguoEv, are priced at IDR 317 million and the Wuling Air EV is priced starting at IDR 190 million. It’s just that the price of the Wuling Cloud EV, which reaches IDR 398 million, is much cheaper than the preview price revealed by Wuling at the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show 2024 (PEVS).

At that time, Wuling announced that the price of the Wuling Cloud EV had reached IDR 410 million. Dian Asmahani Sales and Marketing Director Wuling Motors said the actual price was not reduced. The time at PEVS Wuling only provides an overview or estimate of the Wuling Cloud EV.

Currently, according to him, the official price determination is determined based on internal considerations of the Wuling Motors team. Basically Wuling tries to provide the best product prices to consumers.

“Consumers who have pre-booked will still get the price of IDR 398 million with several additional benefits,” he said.

Dian further hopes that the Wuling Cloud EV can increase sales of Wuling electric cars in Indonesia. It’s just that he doesn’t agree whether in the future the electric car, which is the largest in the Wuling family, could become the backbone of electric vehicle sales for the car manufacturer with the five-star logo in Indonesia.

“We hope to increase the overall sales volume of Wuling EV, but we cannot explain it in numbers. We hope there will be more than 5,000 consumers this year,” he said.

In China, Wuling Cloud EV is available in several variants. Unfortunately for the Indonesian market, Wuling decided to only offer one variant. Wuling Cloud EV has a lithium ferrophosphate battery, or LFP with a capacity of 50.6 kWh, so the distance reaches 460 kilometers.

Regarding the dynamo, or electric motor, the power is 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. This front-wheel drive electric car can accelerate up to 150 km per hour.

The newest electric car has more complete features than the two previous models. With these specifications, Wuling is confident that the new product will be well received by the market.
