PT Piaggio Indonesia (PID) officially sells the Vespa Elettrica electric motorbike in Indonesia at a price of IDR 198 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta. This is also followed by other spare parts, such as batteries that have fantastic prices.
For your information, the Vespa Elettrica uses a battery designed by the Piaggio Group and LG Chem. This collaboration created a battery with a capacity of 86 Ah which can distribute 4.2 kWh of energy.
Ayu Hapsari, PT & Communications Manager for PT Piaggio Indonesia, said that his party has also sold batteries. This is intended if in the future the component is damaged due to self-error or the warranty period has passed.
“The price (battery) is around IDR 70 million. That’s the battery only, not including the installation fee. It will be adjusted by each dealer,” Ayu said when met in the Senayan area, South Jakarta, Thursday (24/8/2023).
As is known, currently the Vespa Elettrica is available in all Motoplex 4 brand networks which are spread across several major cities in Indonesia. Battery installation will be adjusted according to Flat Rate Time (FRT) or service pricing from the dealer.
Meanwhile for the battery itself, PT Piaggio Indonesia provides a warranty period of 3 years. To maintain the quality of the battery at its prime, users also need to pay attention to the charging cycle.
“All components (can be) guaranteed for three years, except fast moving. The battery also needs to pay attention to the charge cycle, so there is such a thing as a hot and cold battery. This is what needs to be considered so that its condition remains prime, “said Ayu.
Vespa Elettrica has a battery that is claimed to provide efficiency of up to 1,000 times a full charge. This battery also meets IP65 certification, which makes it dust and low pressure water resistant.
To charge it is also quite easy, users only need to install an additional socket and plug it directly into the socket. However, a minimum power of 1.5000 Watt is required just to charge the Vespa Elettrica battery.
This electric scooter from Italy offers two driving modes, namely Eco and Power. There is also a Reverse mode to reverse or make it easier for users to park. Unfortunately, this motorbike is not equipped with standard side.
