Without Big Names, These 4 Flying Cars Invade CES 2024

There is something unique about the 2024 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) which is taking place in Las Vegas, United States this week. As predicted, cars and flying taxis immediately spread the largest technology exhibition in the world.

Only this time there is a difference in that the big names are no longer displaying their flagship cars and flying taxis. In the past, cars and flying taxis made by Boeing, General Motors, Uber and Bell graced CES.

Now at CES 2024 the big names seem to have disappeared. Only Hyundai still consistently brings flying cars or taxis to the technology exhibition.

The rest are new players who seem to want to convey the message that flying cars are not just a dream.

“The dream of flying cars will never die,” writes Inside EV’s Patrick George.

He even said that the minimum number of big names was actually a natural process because only very serious companies wanted to waste money investing in cars and flying taxis.

At least this has been proven by Hyundai and these three companies which have invested in the flying car business. “Hyundai has created a new Supernal division and their flying taxis will be operational in 2028. Likewise with XPeng,” stressed Patrick George.

For those of you who are curious, here are four cars and flying taxis entering CES 2024:

1.Hyundai Supernal S-A2

Hyundai Superna S-A2 is the latest version of the previous series, namely Hyundai Supernal S-A2. By design, this helicopter has electricity distributed across eight rotors, and can be tilted.

The Hyundai Supernal S-A2 is also equipped with quality components, such as powertrain, flight controls and avionics.

The helicopter is designed to fly at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 1,500 feet.

2. XPeng Aeroht

XPeng Aeroht really showed off a flying car at CES 2024. They brought the XPeng Land Aircraft Carrier and XPeng Aeorht eVTOL.

Both of them actually succeeded in translating the concept of flying cars well. The XPeng Aeroht eVTOL has the appearance of a sports car from the future.

The car is equipped with eight propellers that can lift the car vertically to fly. Meanwhile, the XPeng Land Aircraft Carrier does not change it like the Tesla Cybertruck which carries a compact helicopter.

3. Pivotal Helix

Helix Pivotal is a very unique flying car. The reason is that the flying car can only accommodate one person.

In fact, that concept makes Helix Pivotal make sense. In fact, on June 10 2024, Helix Pivotal can be purchased. This flying car has a different concept from the others, namely the use of fixed rotors and large wings.

So it’s like a plane made more compact. Pivotal even claims that this flying car does not require a flight permit for the aircraft and pilot from the relevant authorities. As a result, they are confident that they can start sales on June 10, 2024.

4. Leo Coupe

The Leo Coupe is another flying car on display at CES. The flying car with four passengers is actually more like a sports car than an airplane.

“We were determined to create a safe, compact vehicle that was simple to operate and intuitive for a culture accustomed to cars,” said Carlos Salaff, designer of Leo Coupe.
