Will be Sold  in Indonesia, This EV Traveled from North Pole to the South Pole Successfully

The Nissan Ariya electric car has made a special note as 2023 closes. Nissan’s flagship electric car ompleted a nine-month adventure from the North Pole to the South Pole.

Autoblog reported, Tuesday (19/12/2023) that the Nissan Ariya electric car arrived at the South Pole on December 15,  2023. It’s just that the lack of an internet connection means they can’t send the good news.

“We are the first people in history to drive an electric car from the North Pole to the South Pole. Many people say this mission is crazy but in fact, we can,” wrote the husband and wife team driving the Nissan Ariya, Chris and Julie Ramsey on their official Instagram account.

Both of them hope that this special note can at least erase many people’s concerns about the capabilities of electric cars. Especially the issue of mileage which is still in doubt.

“Electric cars can do anything. They are very fun to drive. They are also very reliable and tough. Most importantly, electric cars love the Earth,” wrote the two again.

Autoblog stated that the mileage achieved by the Nissan Ariya is fantastic. Since moving from the North Pole in March 2023 until now the Nissan Ariya has traveled a distance of 27,000 kilometers.

The electric car from Nissan itself has been specially dressed to take on this extreme adventure. All modifications were specially made by Arctic Trucks.

It’s just that the figure behind the wheel of the Nissan Ariya is no less special. The election of Chris Ramsey was not without reason. The reason is that the man who was born on November 12 1976 is already used to electric vehicles.

He is the world record holder for the Guinness World Record for the longest journey on an electric motorbike for 12 hours. Apart from that, he also participated in the Mongol Rally using an electric car.

The Nissan Ariya itself is expected to be present in Indonesia next year. The presence of the Nissan Ariya will certainly complement Nissan’s line-up of electrified vehicles that have entered Indonesia, such as the LEAF and Kicks.

Some time ago, Susilo Darmawan, Head of Retailer Indomobil Group representing Nissan Indonesia, said that his party was planning to enliven the electric car market in the country.

“So in 2024 there will be another high specification EV model, it looks like the Ariya. What is clear is an electric SUV,” said Susilo some time ago.
