The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 will open on Thursday (July 18, 2024). A press preview session will be held first to give an overview of the new cars that will be the highlight of each Indonesian automotive brand participating in the exhibition.
One noticeable aspect of this event is the significantly larger number of participants compared to previous years. A total of 55 participants are taking part in Indonesia’s largest automotive exhibition.

Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi is presenting two new cars at GIIAS 2024: the New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the New Mitsubishi Triton. The new Pajero Sport features a more aggressive front end compared to its predecessor.
The New Mitsubishi Triton looks vastly different from its previous generation. In Indonesia, the Mitsubishi Triton dominates the light commercial double-cab market.
Hyundai
Hyundai is bringing two new cars to GIIAS 2024: the New Hyundai Kona Electric and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. The New Hyundai Kona Electric is available in four variants, priced between IDR 499 million and IDR 590 million. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the sport version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, is priced at IDR 1.3 billion.
MG
MG surprised many by introducing two cars with attractive designs. The first is the MG Cyberster electric roadster, priced at IDR 1.6 billion. The second is the MG IM LS6 electric car. Unfortunately, it is not yet announced if the MG IM LS6 will actually be sold in Indonesia.
Suzuki
Suzuki is showcasing the Suzuki eVX concept car at GIIAS 2024. This concept car signifies their serious commitment to the electrification era.
Daihatsu
Daihatsu is presenting many interesting cars at GIIAS 2024. Some of them include the Daihatsu Me
concept car, Daihatsu Terios Graphite, Daihatsu Sigra Cardboard, Daihatsu Rocky Crossfield, and Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid.
Chery
Chery is bringing many concept cars named iCar. They are even separating the Omoda and Chery brands for differentiation. However, the highlight of Chery’s cars at the moment is the Chery Tiggo 8, with a price announced at GIIAS 2024 of IDR 400 million. This price is only available during the exhibition.
Neta
Chery is attracting attention by bringing the Neta X to GIIAS 2024. The price for this car is estimated to be in the range of IDR 460 million to IDR 490 million.
Wuling
Wuling is celebrating their 7-year presence in Indonesia at GIIAS 2024. To mark the occasion, Wuling has modified the limited-production Wuling BinguoEV.
Toyota
Toyota is enhancing electrification in Indonesia by introducing the legendary hybrid car, the Toyota Prius. This hybrid car is priced at IDR 698 million.
Lexus
Lexus LBX is the new car Lexus is bringing to captivate visitors’ eyes at GIIAS 2024. It is priced at IDR 895 million. Additionally, they are also showcasing the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept electric sports car concept.
