SUV cars will seduce the Indonesian public at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on 10-20 August 2023. The presence of this type of car further emphasizes the transfer of trends that have occurred in Indonesian society, who are starting to prefer SUVs to MPVs.
One of the reasons SUVs are starting to be liked is the advantages that MPV cars don’t have. The SUV car has a high ground clearance which is very suitable for the road conditions in Indonesia.
Not to mention the carrying capacity and functionality of SUV cars that are no less than MPV cars. It is not surprising that SUV car sales tend to increase every year compared to MPV car sales, which are more often stagnant.
It is not surprising that many car manufacturers in Indonesia have begun to flood the automotive market with SUVs. One of them is through the GIIAS 2023 moment. So which SUV cars will be present at the biggest automotive exhibition in Indonesia?
1. Mitsubishi XFC Mass Production
PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia will launch a mass production version of the Mitsubishi XFC Concept. They claim the car design is the same as the concept version. Apart from that, the four driving modes are also a mainstay that other competitors don’t have.
2.Mazda CX-60
Eurokars Mazda is still tightly closing the car they will bring to GIIAS 2023. It’s just that the car is rumored to be a Mazda CX-60. Of course it was a surprise because the Mazda CX-60 has many surprises that are not owned by the Mazda SUV currently available. One of them is the beauty of the 7th generation design from Mazda.
3. Subaru Outback
Subaru Indonesia has spread a teaser image of their new SUV that will be present at GIIAS 2023. From the image it is a little clear that the car that will be brought is the sixth generation Subaru Outback.
The car is believed to be the flagship SUV model or the most luxurious and most expensive in the Subaru family.
4. Two Premium SUVs from Chery
Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia confirmed the presence of two new variants of the premium SUV line-up. They will also present the first electric crossover car that is nearing the final stages of design, feature determination, and production.
According to Chery, the two new variants of the Premium SUV can be purchased immediately during GIIAS 2023.
5. Mercedes-Benz EQS
Mercedes-Benz Indonesia will bring the most luxurious electric SUV, the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. This car will provide the best experience of driving an electric car with typical performance of a strong SUV.
