VinFast Releases Second Electric Car in Indonesia, Priced at Rp 310 Million

VinFast is expanding its product portfolio in Indonesia by launching the VF 5, an electric SUV designed for the A-segment. The introduction of the VF 5 marks VinFast’s second launch in Indonesia following the release of its first electric car, the VF e34, last March.

VinFast officially launched the VF 5 in Indonesia starting on July 1, 2024. This Vietnamese electric SUV is aimed at the A-segment with a price of Rp 310 million.

Not only offering a leading electric SUV in its class, VinFast also introduces an attractive and optimized battery subscription program tailored to customer mobility needs. With this battery subscription program, the VF 5 is offered at a price of Rp 242,000,000.

The battery subscription program for the VF 5 type offers a monthly fee based on mileage. Customers only need to pay Rp 990,000 per month for distances under 1,500 km, Rp 1,415,000 per month for distances under 3,000 km, and Rp 2,360,000 per month for distances over 3,000 km.

The VF 5 comes with the best warranty in its class, including a vehicle warranty of up to 7 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first, and a battery warranty of 8 years with unlimited kilometers.

Temmy Wiradjaja, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, expressed his optimism in welcoming a new era for VinFast in Indonesia, “VinFast is very enthusiastic about launching our second model in Indonesia. This launch is a tangible realization of our dedication to advancing the electric mobility industry with sophisticated, intelligent, and safe vehicles. This is an important step in VinFast’s mission to dominate the electric vehicle market in Indonesia and demonstrates our commitment to developing innovative and high-quality products that meet the diverse needs of our customers.”

The VF 5 is powered by a 70kW electric motor, equivalent to 94 HP and 135 Nm of torque. The car is equipped with a 29.6 kWh Lithium battery. Customers can charge the battery from 10% to 70% in just 34 minutes, meeting the need for quick and convenient travel.

VinFast prioritizes passenger safety by equipping the VF 5 with a range of leading safety features in its segment. These safety features include ABS (anti-lock braking systems), EBD (emergency brake display), BA (emergency brake assist), and ESC (electronic stability control). These safety features ensure customers drive with full protection and high comfort.

The VF 5 also boasts an elegant design. LED turn signals, reverse lights, and low-position taillights are characteristic features of the VF 5. The spoiler and shark fin antenna design also add a touch of elegance while complementing the car’s dynamic appearance.

The VF 5’s ideal size perfects the journey along crowded city streets. Its maneuverability and comfortable driving experience are expected to boost enthusiasm for the A-segment in Indonesia.

So far, VinFast has launched the VF e34 and opened its first dealership in Jakarta. Recently, VinFast also announced its plan to build an electric car manufacturing plant in Indonesia. The construction of this plant demonstrates the company’s well-crafted commitment and business strategy in the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia.

The launch of the VF 5 in Indonesia is expected to attract public interest, given the high demand for environmentally friendly and efficient vehicles. With competitive prices and advanced features, the VF 5 has the potential to become a top choice for consumers looking for a quality electric car.
