The Uzbekistan U17 national team received a special prize of Chevrolet cars after claiming the title at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship. This victory marks Uzbekistan’s fourth win in the continental youth football tournament, and they were welcomed home with great fanfare.
Upon their arrival in Uzbekistan, the players were warmly greeted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, who personally congratulated them. Head coach Ismoilov Islambek Murodbek was awarded the title of Uzbekistan Master of Sports, while the players received the Future Builders Medal, the highest honor in Uzbek sports.
What drew the most attention, however, were the Chevrolet cars given to each team member, including both players and coaching staff. Since the players are all under 17 and not eligible to drive, the cars were handed over to their parents.

In the final, Uzbekistan faced the host team, Saudi Arabia U17. Despite being reduced to nine players after two red cards in the first half, Uzbekistan held on to win 2-0. Mukhammad Khakimov opened the scoring with a penalty in the 51st minute. Then, in the 70th minute, Sadiridin Khasanov made a sensational solo run from midfield, beating the goalkeeper to seal the victory with a 2-0 scoreline.
Saudi Arabia U17 launched several attacks but was unable to score, despite taking a total of 22 shots, with 10 on target.
