Every car manufacturer in the world usually has research and development (R&D) facilities. In this facility there is usually a special circuit or track used to test new cars.
Not only Japanese car manufacturers, world-class sports car manufacturers such as Ferrari even have special circuits or tracks. In fact, the special track owned by Ferrari is very famous worldwide, namely Fiorano.
Uniquely, this doesn’t apply to Lamborghini. The sports car company, which is also from Italy, apparently doesn’t have a circuit to test new cars at all. Special tracks are also completely absent.
This was revealed in a report made by Top Gear, Tuesday (26/9/2023). This report tells about the production process of the newest Lamborghini car, namely the Lamborghini Revuelto.
The report states that Lamborghini does not have a special circuit or track for testing new cars. So as soon as the car was finished, Lamborghini immediately took the car on the road.
The testing was actually carried out on the roads at the Lamborghini car factory in Sant Agata, Bologna, Italy.
“So local residents are very familiar with seeing a new car from Lamborghini. They are also very used to the sound of the car’s exhaust suddenly booming,” wrote Top Gear.
Apart from that, they also have specific suspicions about why Lamborghini doesn’t want to build a special track or circuit. It could be that according to Top Gear, direct testing on the street is much more representative of actual conditions than artificial circuits or tracks.
“It could also be that Lamborghini doesn’t want to be the same as Ferrari, which has a special circuit,” explained Top Gear again.
What is certain is that even though it does not have a special circuit or track to test new cars, Lamborghini is actually known as one of the car manufacturers with a high level of after-sales satisfaction.
In fact, since 2004, JD Power has always given Lamborghini awards for sales satisfaction. Only in 2022 Lamborghini did not get this award.
