President Jokowi invited Indonesian celebrities to tour the Nusantara Capital City on motorcycles on Sunday (28/7/2024). According to the President’s official website, President Jokowi rode a custom motorcycle with predominantly green color.
In addition to Jokowi, several ministers such as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and Acting Head of IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and also Deputy Head of IKN Authority Raja Juli Antoni also joined the tour.
Meanwhile, celebrities who participated in the tour included Raffi Ahmad, Atta Halilintar, Ferry Maryadi, Gading Marten, Poppy Sovia, Willie Salim, and Ananda Omesh along with his wife Dian Ayu Lestari.
“Yes, it’s easiest to try out the road by riding a motorcycle. Just a slight unevenness can be felt. And earlier I invited these folks to ride motorcycles and experience the toll road heading to IKN,” said Jokowi.
Interestingly, among the entire touring group, Dian Ayu Lestari caught the most attention. Ananda Omesh’s wife was known to be riding a KTM-made motorcycle.
Specifically, the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT. This bike is very special due to its extraordinarily powerful engine. It is known that this motorcycle is equipped with a 1,301 cc engine with a 75-degree V-twin configuration, liquid-cooled, producing 173 horsepower @ 9,500 rpm, and 144 Nm torque @ 6,750 rpm.
It’s very powerful compared to the motorcycle ridden by Jokowi, a Kawasaki W175. The Japanese-made motorcycle only has 19.8 horsepower.
The motorcycle ridden by Dian Ayu Lestari also has an abundance of modern features. It has riding modes that can be adjusted according to preference, namely Sport, Street, and Rain.
The price of the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is still undisclosed. However, the previous model sold officially in Indonesia, the KTM 1290 Super Duke, was priced at IDR 475 million and the KTM 1290 Super Adventure at IDR 550 million.
It is believed that the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT is the highest or flagship variant. Automatically, its price is higher than its two siblings. It’s no wonder that Ananda Omesh is very proud to see his wife riding this special bike while touring with President Jokowi.
