Tired of Working for Lamborghini and Bugatti, This Automotive Designer Creates His Own Car Brand

Sasha Selipanov, the automotive designer behind stunning cars for Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg, has finally launched his own car brand, Hardline27. The brand is set to unveil Sasha Selipanov’s first creation, the Nilu27, in the near future.

According to Autoblog on Tuesday (May 21, 2024), Sasha Selipanov is the designer of the highly successful Bugatti Chiron. While working with Lamborghini, he designed the Lamborghini Huracan. The Koenigsegg Gemera and Koenigsegg Jesko are two other cars shaped by Sasha Selipanov’s remarkable design skills.

“Sasha Selipanov is now building his own brand and has established studios in Los Angeles, USA, and Berlin, Germany. The Nilu27 he is creating will be an exhilarating sight for anyone who sees it,” Autoblog reports.

Currently, Sasha Selipanov has released teaser images and videos of the Nilu27, although only the rear view of the car has been shared so far.

Some interesting features of the Nilu27 include gull-wing doors and a rear end that appears exposed. The back reveals the entire frame of the car along with three large exhaust pipes.

Autoblog notes that the Nilu27 has a strong Koenigsegg influence, reflecting Sasha Selipanov’s dominant role when working with the Swedish car company.

From the circulated video, the Nilu27 seems to have a very distinctive engine sound. It is estimated that the car will be powered by a pure V8 engine.

“The plan is for this car to be fully revealed on August 15, 2024,” it says.

Previously, in an interview with Carscoops, Sasha Selipanov admitted that he had long wanted to create his own car brand. He did not want to remain in the shadow of major car companies like Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg.

“Thanks to them, I met many important figures in the automotive world. But my mind always urged me to create something entirely my own,” he said.
