A concept electric car from Russia has been bullied in cyberspace because it has a unique appearance. For information, the red concept electric car has just been released as a research project.
Unfortunately, instead of getting a positive response, insults came instead. The concept electric car called Amber was created to find out Russia’s readiness to make electric cars domestically.
“This car is planned to be the first step to making electric cars domestically in Russia by 2025,” said Autopian, on Friday (22/12/2023).
Amber is not an electric car made by a large manufacturer. Instead, Amber was actually made by a group of students from Moscow Polytechnic University.
They received a request from the Russian car company, Avtotor, to make a prototype electric car that was fully made to maximize the potential that existed in Russia.
Avtotor itself is not a foreign name in the Russian automotive world. Together with Lada, Avtotor dominates the automotive market in the country led by Vladimir Putin.
Avtotor even assembles various world-famous car brands such as BMW, Hyundai and KIA. It’s just that this cooperation ended when Russia invaded Ukraine, which made many world car manufacturers leave Russia.
Autopian said that this is not the first time that Mosoc Polytechnic University has been involved in the vehicle manufacturing process. Before Amber, they had made three vehicles such as an ATV and two compact cargo cars.
Unfortunately, their efforts in making a concept electric car have received a lot of criticism.
“This car is still in concept form and can be further developed. It’s just that people already hate it,” explained Autopian.
