The Mitsubishi Ek Tetsuhiro Tsuchida, Director of Sales and Marketing Division of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) said that this compact electric car has become a sensation in Japan.
Currently, the Mitsubishi Ek As a result, the car’s pivot period is very long.
“If possible, we will launch the car in Indonesia. It’s just that because the pivot is very long in Japan, we are still looking for when the electric car will arrive in Indonesia,” said Tetsuhiro Tsuchida.
He explained that the Mitsubishi Ek At that time they also presented another electric car, namely the Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV.
“We will launch the Minicab MiEV at the end of this year. The electric car will be mass produced, although it won’t be very mass-produced,” explained Tetsuhiro Tsuchida.
Furthermore, Tetsuhiro Tsuchida also rejected the notion that Mitsubishi seemed reluctant to sell electric cars. Especially when compared with car manufacturers from South Korea and China which seem serious and intense in marketing electric cars.
According to him, Mitsubishi is actually very ready for the electrification trend. They have electric cars and hybrid cars to fill the green car segment.
“In fact, we can be said to be pioneers because previously we brought the Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV,” he explained.
However, according to him, Mitsubishi really needs to be careful because currently the supporting infrastructure for electric cars is still inadequate.
“We don’t want to see Mitsubishi cars not running due to the absence of proper infrastructure,” he concluded.
