This is The Most Expensive Mass Product Vespa that Sold in Indonesia

Piaggio Indonesia offers many Vespa models for Indonesian people. Currently there are six Vespa models that are sold in mass in Indonesia.

The seven models are the Vespa LX, Vespa S, Vespa Primavera, Vespa Sprint, Vespa GTS and Vespa GTV. Apart from that, they also have a special color option for the Vespa Primavera, namely the Vespa Primavera Color Vibe which was recently launched to the Indonesian public.

Of all the available Vespa models, there is only one model which is really very expensive. The Vespa model is the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni which sells for Rp. 166 million.

Actually, there are indeed Vespas on the market that are more expensive. Call it the Vespa Dior, which sells for up to IDR 450 million. There is also another model, namely Justin Bieber’s Vespa which penetrates Rp. 190 million. The Indonesian people were also shocked by Sean Wotherspoon’s Vespa, which cost Rp. 250 million.

It’s just that Vespa Dior, Justin Bieber’s Vespa, and Sean Wotherspoon’s Vespa are not mass products that can be easily owned by everyone. It’s different from the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni, which everyone can own as long as they are willing to throw away IDR 166 million.

Then what are the features of the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni that makes it so expensive compared to other Vespas?

The Vespa GTV Sei Giorni itself was made to commemorate Vespa’s victory at the Sei Giorni Internazionale race held in Varese, Italy in the 1950s. To take part in the off-road racing event, Vespa concocted 10 units of motorbikes to take part in the competition and brought home 9 trophies.

As the name implies, the Vespa GTV series has a characteristic that is most easily seen in the position of the main light, which is above the front fender. This lamp is round in shape with the usual halogen bulb, giving it a strong classic feel and depicting a classic motorcycle.

The bare handlebar area is given a smoke windscreen which is quite wide and covers more than half of the handlebars.

Then the speedometer uses an analog model, with information only indicating speed, fuel meter, light indicators, and a small LCD screen as a clock.

Because this scooter is likened to a racing motorbike, the performance of the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni II is very tempting. The base uses a 300 cc HPE (High Performance Engine) engine, the specifications are a 4 valve SOHC single cylinder, injection and use liquid cooling.

The engine capacity is 278.3 cc with a 75 mm piston and 63 mm piston stroke. Maximum power reaches 23.5 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 26 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm.

The top speed that can be achieved is also fast enough for a Vespa, which is 130 kilometers per hour. So the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni is indeed very special.

Fortunately, Piaggio Indonesia does not limit the production of this Italian macho scooter. As a result, the price is not raised as extraordinary as the other special edition Vespas.

But still, the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni is the most expensive for the mass-produced Vespa category sold in Indonesia.
