The prices of electric cars in Indonesia vary greatly. The price range starts from under IDR 200 million to billions of rupiah.
Among this price range, there is one car that is the most expensive. The car is the Mercedes-Benz EQS+ 450 Edition One with a price tag of IDR 3.95 billion.
In fact, Mercedes-Benz Indonesia launched this car at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) in August last year. It’s just that until now, after the turn of the year, the status of the most expensive electric car has not been replaced.
Roelof Lamberts, CEO of PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia said the Mercedes-Benz EQS+ 450 Edition One is the pinnacle of exclusivity.
“We present the EQS Edition One as the most special and exclusive choice for customers who want to own an all-electric Mercedes-Benz vehicle. Only 12 people in Indonesia can own this special edition vehicle and we can’t wait to see them experience an all-electric vehicle “The most luxurious offering from Mercedes-Benz,” he said.
So what’s special about the most expensive electric car in Indonesia?
It is known that the Mercedes-Benz EQS Edition One is designed from the EQS 450+ AMG Line but has added more bling to the detail level.
One thing that stands out is the color choice, there is only one, namely two tone, combining the lower body in High-Tech Silver and the roof area and pillars in Obsidian Black. This combination is taken from Mercedes-Benz’s first electric concept car, the Vision EQS.
The appearance becomes more elegant from various complementary AMG Line and AMG exterior components, including the 21 inch rims which show elegance. The exclusive identity of this car is also shown by the Edition One emblem in various places including the windshield and doors.
The driver and passengers in the cabin will be pampered with Nappa leather upholstery with a Neva Grey/Reflex Blue color palette. The 17.7 inch OLED MBUX Hyperscreen center screen is not only the center of the dashboard but also conveys a futuristic feel.
Starting from the entertainment system to various infographics about vehicles can be accessed easily. In fact, now there is no need for a touchpad or controller on the center console like other Mercedes models.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS+ 450 Edition One can be driven for 770 km using a fully charged 107.8 kWh battery. The electric motor’s torque of 565 Nm can make this car move from rest to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.2 seconds, if it continues to accelerate the maximum speed is 210 kilometers per hour.
