Ferrari makes a special car and the only one in the world, the Ferrari KC23. The car was built and ordered for a special, mysterious Ferrari customer.
In Ferrari’s official statement, Ferrari KC23 is a special program that they have, namely Ferrari Special Projects (SP). In this program, they make cars that are specifically ordered by special Ferrari customers.
So, the Ferrari KC23 is one of the newest cars to come through this program.
“Sometimes the unique Ferrari SP cars never appear in public. This time the owner wants to share the results of his collaboration with Ferrari for the world,” said Ferrari.
Later this car will be brought to the legendary automotive event Goodwood Festival 2023 in England which will be held from 13-16 July 2023. After that the car will be brought back to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy.
In both places, visitors can see first hand various very special things from the only Ferrari in the world.
In fact, the Ferrari KC23 is not an ordinary Ferrari car. The car is a racing car that is only allowed to be used on the circuit. Not on public streets like luxury cars in general.
The basis for the development of this car is indeed using the Ferrari racing car, namely the Ferrari 488 GT3. It’s just that Ferrari completely changed all the elements in the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.
“Behind the Ferrari KC23 car is the engine from the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2, which is a dual turbo V8 engine. This engine delivered the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 530 wins and 119 championship titles,” said Ferrari.
Unlike the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2, the Ferrari KC23 is like a concept racing car in the future. The design is very radical and beautiful at the same time.
The presence of butterfly doors makes the car look even more special. The car is also equipped with a wing that can be removed.
Some elements of the concept car actually looks very clear in this car. For example, the use of a rearview camera makes the car more dynamic.
Most dramatic is the cover over the exposed rear engine intake. The panels above the vents behind the front wheels also open to generate extra downforce.
On the inside of the car is really a racing car. Various accessories for racing cars such as roll cages, racing steering bars, and racing seats are installed in the interior.
It’s just that the shape is not much different from the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo2. Autoblog mentioned that the Ferrari KC23 took three years to be processed into a production form.
