A beautiful sports car turns out to be designed by the legendary English footballer, David Beckham. Reported by Supercarblondie on Friday (3/5/2024), the owner of the Inter Miami FC soccer club poured all his creativity into the design of the Maserati MC20.
“David Beckham owns many special cars. Among them, the Maserati MC20, which is sold for US$ 275,000 (Rp 4.4 billion), is his own creation,” wrote Supercarblondie.
It is not mentioned why Maserati allowed David Beckham to design the beautiful sports car. It could be that the man born on May 2, 1975, didn’t want to be outdone by his wife, Victoria.
Previously, Victoria also designed a very popular car, the Range Rover Evoque. The British-made car received very high appreciation for its attractive and contemporary design.
It seems like what David Beckham wanted to do when designing the Maserati MC20. Indeed, the Maserati MC20 was recognized as the best-designed car in 2021 by the European Product Design Award.
Not only does it have beautiful design, but the Maserati MC20 also has impressive performance. This sports car is equipped with an engine called Nettuno with a capacity of 3,000 cc with a V6 Twin Turbo configuration.
The engine is capable of producing a power of 630 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a torque of 730 Nm at 3,000-5,500 rpm. When accelerating from 0-100 km/h, this car only takes 2.9 seconds.
Meanwhile, the maximum speed that the Maserati MC20 can reach is 325 kilometers per hour. The Maserati MC20 is a sports car with a total weight of under 1,500 kg, so the weight-to-power ratio reaches 2.33 kilograms per horsepower. This can happen because the chassis and other materials of this car are made of carbon fiber.
