Indonesian people increasingly have many choices of subsidized electric motorbikes. Now there are three new electric motorbikes that are included in the IDR 7 million subsidy scheme because they have met the requirement of having local components of 40 percent.
The three electric motorbikes are the Atom made by PT Ide Inovatif Bangsa, Go Plus owned by PT Champion Bike (SELIS), and the United E-Motor MX1200AT from PT Terang Dunia Internusa.
If accessed through the SISAPIRA website, the three electric motorbikes have received a discount of IDR 7 million. Take the United E-Motor MX1200 AT as an example, which was originally sold for IDR 15.8 million. On the SISAPIRA website, the electric motorbike made by PT Terang Dunia Internusa is now priced at IDR 8.8 million.
Likewise with Go Plus from SELIS, which on the SISAPIRA website is now sold at Rp. 22.499 million and Atom which is priced at Rp. 22 million.
However, if indeed you are not interested in the three new electric motorbikes that are included in the SISAPIRA list, enthusiasts still have other options. Currently there are at least 27 other options available, besides Go Plus, United E-Motor MX1200 AT, and Atom.
Currently buying a subsidized electric motorbike is also much easier than before. This time, it’s only enough to have a KTP so that interested parties can propose subsidized electric motorbikes.
“The main basis for this policy change is to accelerate the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country and create a cleaner Indonesia. This goal will certainly have an impact on increasing investment, spurring industrial productivity and competitiveness, and expanding the workforce,” said the Minister of Industry. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a written statement, Tuesday (29/8/2023).
