The new electric car from MG Motor Indonesia, the NG ZS EV, has already received orders for 261 people during its display at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) at ICE BSD, Tangerang. Unique because the price of the new electric car has not been announced at all.
“We haven’t announced the price of the MG ZS EV at all. It’s just that enthusiasm is very high and many people want to order. There is even one customer who is ready to pay,” said Arief Syarifudin, Marketing and PR Director for MG Motor Indonesia, to reporters at BSD. , Tangerang, last Wednesday (16/8/2023).
He said that currently MG Motor Indonesia had not yet started the sales process. It’s just that they do provide a great opportunity for the community if they really want to have a second electric car from MG Motor Indonesia.
“I see that the enthusiasm is actually very large because our electric car offers many advantages,” he explained.
The question of this price is indeed a question for many parties. This curiosity includes whether the MG ZS EV is under the MG4 EV which is actually a newer status in the global market. In Thailand, this model is offered with a tag of 1.269 million Baht or around Rp. 554 million, not including the relief provided by the government. Then, the MG4 EV is currently offered at IDR 649.9 million.
“We are still discussing with our internal team to get the best price for our newest EV model. We are sure that the MG ZS EV can be the right choice for Indonesian consumers, contributing to creating a sustainable future. In addition, we hope to inspire and encourage the adoption of electric vehicle technology in the country,” said Arief.
New MG ZS EV combines a combination of electrical efficiency with the latest modern style. The sleek front, newly designed LED taillights define future products. The charging port is located in the grille area, highlighting the contemporary look of this vehicle.
The interior features a 7-inch meter cluster screen, 10-inch head unit screen, and the presence of a panoramic sunroof for a premium impression. The New MG ZS EV has won a 5 star rating from Euro NCAP, one of the proofs of the quality of electric vehicles that are superior to MG.
Regarding performance, the SUV with the latest MSP Architecture is claimed to be able to travel 403 kilometers on a full charge. The ability to accelerate from rest to 100 km per hour can be done in 8.6 seconds thanks to a 177 hp electric motor.
