PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) received sharp criticism when it presented the Honda EM1 e electric motorbike: because its dimensions were too small. As if capturing this dissatisfaction, AHM presented a surprise by bringing the Honda SC e: concept electric motorbike to the Indonesia International Motor Show 2024 (IIMS).
This electric motorbike concept is quite interesting because its dimensions are much larger than the Honda EM1 e:. You could even say it is similar to the Honda Vario. So it could be that the Honda SC e: is called the electric Honda Vario in the future.
For your information, the Honda SC e: Concept itself was previously displayed at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), in Tokyo, Japan, which took place from 26 October to 5 November 2023. This is the first time this motorbike has appeared in Indonesia.
The SC e: Concept electric motorbike offers convenience for its users because it carries the concept of swapping batteries. The plan is that Honda will install two interchangeable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries on the SC e: Concept.
Honda believes this method can expand the use of electric motorbikes because they are easier to use and save time. The reason is, the owner will no longer be confused about the length of battery charging time.
It is claimed that the Honda SC e: Concept offers a smoother but still powerful driving experience. Unlike the EM1 e: which can only go at a top speed of 47 km/hour with a distance of 41.1 km.
However, even though the Honda EM1 e: electric motorbike is already present in Indonesia, no official price has been announced for the Honda SC e:. PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) is still shy about revealing this.
