It’s time for world leaders and figures to refresh their official cars that they use every time they work. The problem is that BMW recently refreshed their latest bulletproof protection car, namely the BMW 7 Series and i7 Series Protection.
The two cars are powered by different engines. The BMW 7 Series Protection uses a conventional V8 engine that can generate 562 horsepower. On the other hand, the BMW i7 Series Protection is driven by two electric motors and a battery with a power of 544 horsepower.
The most interesting part of these two super luxury cars is of course the safety technology. This time, BMW increased the level of security used by the car so that it really looked like a tank with a luxurious appearance.
This time the protection system used reached the VR9 standard. That protection system is even used in every part of the car. So its use is not limited to certain parts.
The protection system becomes even more optimal because at the time of production, the car was already using a very strong steel material. So the protection efforts provided by these two cars are truly maximum.
It is claimed that this car can survive attacks such as bombs, grenades, bullets, and most recently, it is protected from drone attacks. “This car’s gas tank for conventional engines will automatically close if it detects an attack,” wrote BMW’s official statement, Wednesday (9/8/2023).
Just don’t expect performance from these two protection cars. The weight of the two cars is getting heavier because they do get a special coating to protect against attacks.
It’s not surprising that BMW then needs to install a special suspension so that it can properly support the two protection cars. The maximum speed is also very different from the general version. This car can only go up to speeds of 160 kilometers per hour because of its enormous weight.
All cars can get additions according to the wishes of the customer. For example adding fire extinguishers, flag poles, shock lamps, to security radios.
