Suzuki India has finally officially launched the twin of the Toyota Innova Zenix, Suzuki Invicto in India, this Wednesday (5/7/2023). The crossover car with a seven-seater configuration is available in two variants, namely the Suzuki Invicto Zeta+ and Suzuki Invicto Alpha+.
According to Auto Hindustan Times, the Suzuki Invicto Zeta+ is sold at 2,479 Rupees or the equivalent of IDR 451.07 million. On the other hand, the Suzuki Invicto Alpha+ is sold at 2.842 million Rupees or around IDR 517.1 million.
“Suzuki Invicto offers a combination of premium design, smart equipment, as well as innovation and high-level safety features,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Unlike the Toyota Innova Zenix in Indonesia, the Suzuki Invicto sold by Suzuki India is actually only offered with a 2.0-liter hybrid engine. So the Suzuki Invicto doesn’t have a conventional naturally aspirated engine like the one offered in Indonesia.
For complete interior, the Suzuki Invicto is equipped with a 10.1-inch SmartPlay Magnum + touch screen. The touch screen can be connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In addition, there is also a 7-inch Multi-Information Display that can spoil the driver while driving. This big car is also equipped with many advanced features such as six airbags, Hill Hold Assist, Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS), and Electronic Parking Brake.
“We believe this car will be successful and help increase our sales,” said Hisashi Takeuchi.
The presence of the twin Toyota Innova Zenix from Suzuki is actually good news for the people of Indonesia. Especially now that Indonesian people are used to twin cars.
Unfortunately, the chance for Suzuki Invicto to enter Indonesia is very small. Previously, Donny Saputra, Marketing Director of 4W at PT SIS, said that currently they are more focused on developing the cars they produce domestically. While the Toyota and Suzuki twin cars are cars produced outside Indonesia.
“Even though there are foreign production cars that we bring to Indonesia, it is done because there is indeed a demand,” explained Donny Saputra.
He even ensured that twin cars between Toyota and Suzuki would only occur in India. The reason is that this is a continuation of the collaboration between Toyota India and Maruti Suzuki.
“If there are other plans, that is the realm of the manufacturer, not from us,” he explained.
