Successor to Bugatti Chiron to be Officially Launched on June 20, 2024

Bugatti is set to launch a new hypersport car on June 20, 2024. The successor to the Bugatti Chiron will utilize a new engine with a V16 cylinder capacity.

As reported by Autoblog on Wednesday (June 5, 2024), Bugatti will no longer introduce new models of the Bugatti Chiron. They released the final edition of the Bugatti Chiron in May 2024 with a model named Super Sport L ‘Ultime.

“The exact name of the car is still unknown. However, the engine used represents a new breakthrough from Bugatti,” Autoblog explained.

The V16 engine used in Bugatti’s hypersport car is distinct from the earlier Bugatti models, which employed quad turbo W16 engines. In the new car, Bugatti will incorporate hybrid technology to maintain the performance, which has always been their selling point. This hybrid technology is Bugatti’s response to the electrification trend, which is currently a pressing need to reduce emission levels.

Meanwhile, Motor Trend mentioned that Bugatti has provided hints regarding the new V16 engine that they will use in the new car. In terms of size, the new V16 engine is considerably larger than the W16 engine.

The engine entirely avoids induction technology such as turbocharging and supercharging. “The V16 engine is claimed to produce a power output of 1.000 horsepower. Hybrid technology will boost it to 2.000 horsepower,” stated Motor Trend.

This power output surpasses that of other Bugatti cars significantly. For instance, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L ‘Ultime has a power output of only 1.578 horsepower.
