PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) officially launched the newest Yamaha Xmax Tech Max variant, in Sentul, West Java, this Saturday (9/12/2023). The big scooter is now even more luxurious with various new elements and features.
The name Yamaha Xmax Tech Max is actually nothing new. Yamaha Europe had already introduced this name to strengthen the luxurious and sophisticated feel promoted by Yamaha Europe.
This method then seems to be adopted by YIMM to strengthen the luxurious and sophisticated feel for the Yamaha Xmax in Indonesia. Understandably, even though it already dominates the 250 cc big scooter market, Yamaha doesn’t seem to want to be too confident without providing more value that pampers consumers.
“I can say that this is a special variant, because it was previously present in the European market and was successful there,” said Hiroshi Takeyama, YIMM Marketing Director.
The Yamaha Xmax 250 TechMax is equipped with special components and colors, and is specially designed to provide premium value. This can provide comfort, different styles, and enhanced functionality.
The special components in Xmax Tech MAX can be found on several motorbike parts. In the cockpit, the artistic and luxurious touch lies in the seat components and also the Lid Pocket Cover which uses synthetic leather material with gold accented stitching patterns.
Another premium feel is found in the footrests which use aluminum plates, as well as the special Tech MAX emblem attached to both sides of the motorbike body. This gives an elegant impression to the highest variant.
Regarding color, Yamaha also provides special paint called Magma Black which visually looks unique. Luxurious and masculine. This color also makes the motorbike look more dashing than its predecessor.
Like the Xmax Connected, the TechMax variant is also equipped with various superior features in the 250cc premium scooter class. It features a Navigation System, TFT Infotainment System, Y-Connect, ABS braking system and Traction Control System (TCS).
In the engine section, this motorbike is powered by a Bluecore 250cc single cylinder SOHC 4-valve engine. This engine can produce 16.8 kW (22.5 hp) of power at 7,000 rpm and peak torque of 24.3 Nm at 5,550 rpm.
Talking about price, the Yamaha Xmax 250 TechMax is marketed at IDR 71,300,000 with on the road (OTR) status in Jakarta. This price is IDR 5.3 million more expensive than the Xmax Connected which is priced at IDR 66 million.
