New cars keep arriving to tempt consumers. At the same time, the cars that had already arrived needed to be euthanized.
Some cars were forced to stop production due to certain considerations. Apart from the age factor, the aspect of sales or consumer acceptance is also very determining.
So it is not surprising that in the end the car was forced to no longer be sold. So, here are some cars that will no longer be present on the automotive market next year.
This list of cars is quoted from Autoblog and other sites according to the presence of these cars among consumers in Indonesia. Let’s look at the list:
1. KIA Rio
KIA will finally euthanize the KIA Rio hatchback in 2024. Currently, KIA is more focused on developing large cars such as MPVs and SUVs. They are also serious about selling electric cars.
For small cars, KIA actually prefers to develop the KIA Picanto which is better absorbed by the market compared to the KIA Rio, whose dimensions are actually larger than the KIA Picanto.
2. Mazda CX-9
The three-row Mazda CX-9 SUV has finally been euthanized. Mazda plans to replace this model with the new Mazda CX-90.
In Indonesia, Mazda’s distributor in Indonesia, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), has actually presented the Mazda CX-60 as the flagship or most expensive model. The Mazda CX-60 replaces the Mazda CX-9, which was previously the most expensive car sold by Mazda in Indonesia.
3. Jeep Cherokee
The Jeep Cherokee’s fate is not as good as its sibling, the Jeep Wrangler. Four years ago the name Jeep Cherokee was revived by Jeep.
Unfortunately, sales of SUVs with United States passports are very small. As a result, it didn’t take long for Jeep to stop the Jeep Cherokee’s career.
4. Chevrolet Camaro
Many Chevrolet Camaros are brought to Indonesia through general importers (IU). The American sports car is known as the star of the film The Transformers.
Apart from that, the Chevrolet Camaro rose to fame when it was once the favorite car of Indonesian celebrity, Raffi Ahmad. Unfortunately, next year the Chevrolet Camaro will be euthanized, meaning it will no longer be produced.
5. Audi R8
The Audi R8 is known by the Indonesian people as the car of the fictional character Tony Stark the Iron Man. This sports car from Germany was finally euthanized even though it had a very attractive design compared to other sports cars.
