Piaggio Introduces Vespa Elettrica to Indonesia, Price IDR 198 million

Piaggio Indonesia has finally introduced the Vespa Elettrica electric scooter to Indonesia. Currently, the registration process has been opened with a very fantastic price of IDR 198 million.

In an official statement, Piaggio Indonesia did say that Indonesian people who want to get to know the Vespa Elettrica more closely can come to visit the Motoplex 4 Brands Dealer which is close to their area. In addition, the public can directly access the official website of Vespa Indonesia.

“The introduction of the Vespa Elettrica is the Piaggio Group’s initial contribution to green mobility which is expected to be increasingly relevant in the coming years, including for the Indonesian automotive landscape,” said Marco Noto La Diega, Managing Director and Country CEO of Piaggio Indonesia.

The price, which reaches IDR 198 million, automatically makes the Vespa Elettrica the most expensive Vespa in the Vespa portfolio in Indonesia. This price beats the price of the Vespa GTV Sei Giorni which is priced at IDR 166 million.

Those who are willing to spend Rp. 198 million, called Piaggio Indonesia, will receive many special additions. They will receive special Vespa Genuine accessories which include: a special topbox, a Vespa Genuine VJ Special Edition Elettrica helmet, and a special Vespa Elettrica vehicle cover.

“The Vespa Elettrica is ideal for customers who value a blend of contemporary, eco-friendly mobility with a premium Italian lifestyle,” said Marco Noto La Diega.

It is known that the Vespa Elettrica has interesting specifications and features. The Italian scooter is equipped with an 86 ah lithium-ion battery. Thanks to the battery, the Vespa Elettrica can reach up to 100 km in ECO mode, and a maximum distance of 70 kilometers in POWER mode.

This scooter also features the advanced Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) which helps charge efficiency. This feature also allows recharging the battery during the deceleration phase while driving.

In addition, for optimal charging, users simply need to pull the cable from the compartment under the seat, where the fuel cap is usually located, and connect it to a direct socket. Consumers can also plug the cable into public charging stations, which are now increasing in number in major cities.

Piaggio Indonesia claims the standard time required for full charging is at least 4 to 8 hours (with a voltage of 220 V and depending on the surrounding conditions and battery temperature during charging).

For technical specifications, the Power Unit inside the Vespa Elettrica is capable of providing a power of 3.6 kW and a peak power of 4 kW, with a torque of around 200 Nm. This ability also makes maneuvers feel agile and fun when carried around the city, resulting in quiet mobility.
