Only 30 Minutes, 1.000 Toyota Land Cruiser 250 Sold Out

The Toyota Land Cruiser 250 is truly the most sought after car as the year closes. The proof is that in Germany it only took 30 minutes for the quota of 1,000 cars to be sold out immediately.

Carbuzz reported, this Saturday (23/12/2023), sales of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 in Germany were carried out online. Toyota Motor Germany created a special site for consumers who want to get a compact Toyota Land Cruiser.

The great thing is that once the site opened, orders moved quickly. In just 30 minutes the quota of 1,000 units of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 for the German market was immediately fulfilled.

“Currently, Toyota Motor Germany has opened another site to monitor order status. So if a customer cancels an order, interested people can immediately use the slot,” said Carbuzz.

According to Carbuzz’s records, the sale of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 was very special. Previously there was the Chrysler 300C which sold 2,200 units in 12 hours.

It is known that the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 is a little more special than its bigger brother, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, which has a larger body. The Toyota Land Cruiser 250 comes with a very sweet retro-futuristic design.

So the design of the car reminds many people of the classic design of the old Toyota Land Cruiser. It’s just that the futuristic elements can be seen from several quite strong ornaments in the exterior and interior sectors.

This car offers two fascia models that remind us of the appearance of the 60 Series. To be precise, the round light style is like the initial generation of the 60 Series and at the same time the square lights of the 62 model which is the facelift version of the 60 model.

As for the body, the design is boxy with a long bonnet that seems to be inspired by the Land Cruiser 70 Series or rather the Bundera or Prado.

The five engines announced are included in the engine bay. Toyota said that the engine options include one hybrid engine and one mild hybrid diesel engine.

All engines offered are four-cylinder engines.

Carscoops says that the top version of the North American-spec Land Cruiser will use the same 2.4-liter turbocharged i-Force hybrid petrol engine used in the Tacoma.

This car’s hybrid system uses a 1.87 kWh battery and a four-speed automatic transmission with an integrated electric motor.

This petrol drinker is capable of achieving total performance of 326 hp and 630Nm of torque.

Quoting from Paultan, another engine used is a 2.4 liter non-hybrid engine which is sold to countries in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. This machine is capable of producing 278hp of power and 430 Nm of torque which is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the Australian and Western European markets will get a 1GD-FTV 2.8 liter diesel engine with a 48 volt hybrid intake which is capable of producing 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Again, this performance is channeled to the wheels by an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission.

Apart from that, this European region also gets the option of a 1GD-FTV diesel engine without a mild hybrid intake while still being mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The final engine is the 2TR-FE 2.7 liter which is capable of producing 161 hp of power and 246 Nm of torque which is matched to a 6 speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, this latest engine model will fill Toyota’s showcase in the markets of Eastern Europe, Japan, the Middle East and several certain markets.
