Wuling Motors has finally released the new face of the Wuling Almaz RS Pro and Hybrid in Indonesia. There are many interesting things about the large SUV that Wuling sells in Indonesia.
First, the Wuling Almaz RS Pro and Hybrid come with a fresher make-up than before. The most striking change can be seen in the grille, which is now more attractive and futuristic.
For the record, this new display is only available for the Wuling Almaz RS Pro and Wuling Almaz Hybrid. So apart from that, like the Wuling Almaz RS Exclusive and Enjoy, consumers have to accept the old appearance.
Second, Wuling Motors actually prices this SUV cheaper than its predecessor generation. How come?
As for price, the New Almaz RS is being marketed at a special launch price, namely IDR 398,000,000 for the Almaz RS Pro, from the previous IDR 439,200,000.
Meanwhile, the Almaz RS Pro Hybrid is priced at IDR 438,000,000 from the previous IDR 472,900,000 on the road.
Why is it cheaper? According to Danang Wiratmoko as Product Planning for Wuling Motors, this is because there is more use of local products.
“This can be emphasized through the many local products used in Almaz RS. Also the ADAS system is simpler,” said Danang.
One thing that Danang mentioned was the use of rims and tires. Previously, Almaz still used imported rims and tires, now it uses local rims and tires.
“This is one thing that can reduce production costs, apart from that, glass is also partly used locally and partly imported,” explained Danang when asked at the launch location.
Then for the ADAS system, if previously it used cameras and radar, now the system just relies on cameras alone.
In this way, the ADAS system becomes simpler but still functions safely.
“Even though it doesn’t use radar, we guarantee that the ADAS system on Almaz will still function well. Because it now uses better camera resolution,” explained Danang.
And the development of camera technology is currently much more rapid, so it is very possible that radar systems are no longer used.
That’s why the two New Almaz RS Pro and RS Pro Hybrid are much cheaper than before.
“However, with a cheaper price, there is no reduction at all in terms of features compared to the previous Almaz,” said Danang. Very interesting huh…
With a difference of around IDR 40 million, this will definitely make consumers look at Almaz more and make its competitors nervous.
