New electric cars from China will be introduced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2024 (GIIAS), which will take place from July 18-28, 2024. Chinese electric cars will dominate compared to electric cars from other countries.
One of the Chinese car manufacturers bringing new electric cars is Neta. After presenting the Neta V and Neta V-II, the Shanghai-based manufacturer will bring a hybrid SUV to the Indonesian market, which is strongly suspected to be the Neta L.
“Finally, there is one more we will introduce at GIIAS, this medium SUV is a hybrid, so it has both electric drive and combustion engine,” said PT Neta Auto Indonesia Product Planning Manager, Jordy Angkawidjaja, in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (July 10, 2024).
The Neta L itself has been sold in the Chinese market with prices starting from 139,900 yuan or around Rp 315 million. This 5-seater SUV is believed to be suitable for the Indonesian market, especially with its very sporty design.
Neta is not alone in bringing new electric cars to Indonesia. Here are other Chinese car brands that will bring new electric cars to GIIAS 2024:
Jetour
The new automotive manufacturer confirmed its participation in this event. The Chinese manufacturer will showcase two vehicle models at the event.
BYD
The Chinese automotive manufacturer whose name is famous in various parts of the world, BYD, will also bring a new electric car. It is estimated that the BYD M6, a new electric MPV, will be sold directly.
Chery
Still from a Chinese automotive manufacturer, namely Chery. This brand will also bring its environmentally friendly vehicles to the largest exhibition in Southeast Asia.
Not only introducing its latest vehicles, Chery will also bring a new business unit in the local automotive industry.
GAC Aion
GAC Aion has already launched two electric cars before GIIAS 2024, namely the GAC Aion Y Plus and GAC Aion ES. At GIIAS 2024, they will also introduce their third electric car, the Hyper HT, which will be sold in Indonesia.
