PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has finally talked about the opportunity for the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV (Hybrid) to enter Indonesia. This was revealed by the President Director of PT MMKSI, Atsushi Kurita, answering journalists’ questions, at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS).
Atsushi Kurita said that currently they are still studying the possibility of bringing the Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid to Indonesia. It’s just that this study took quite a long time because it took into account many things.
“But we are serious about studying it,” said Atsushi Kurita.
He continued that Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) prioritized Thailand as the first location for sales of the Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid because the conditions allowed it. Some of them are tax policies that are more flexible for hybrid cars.
“But that doesn’t mean we won’t bring the Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid here. We are seriously studying it,” explained Atsushi Kurita.
It is known that Mitsubishi Motors Thailand launched the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross HEV on February 1 2024. Both Mitsubishi cars come with a new MIVEC engine with a capacity of 1.6 liters and a hybrid battery.
