Manufacturer from China, Neta, officially enlivened the Indonesian automotive industry by launching the brand at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Thursday (10/8/2023).
At GIIAS 2023, Neta presents an entire line of battery-based electric cars equipped with advanced technology. As an electric car brand with the second largest market in China, they introduce their brand as a modern vehicle.
President Director of PT NETA Auto Indonesia Wang Chengjie said the reason the company entered the Indonesian automotive market was because of the enormous potential. This can be seen from the increased sales figures after recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him, government policies that support the accelerated growth of the automotive industry are one of the driving factors. Moreover, currently the government is also providing many incentives for electric vehicles.
“We are very proud to present our high quality products. We are very confident that NETA is here and investing to meet the needs of the Indonesian people. And support the government to make the automotive industry more environmentally friendly,” said Chengjie at the launch of the Neta brand at GIIAS 2023, Thursday (10/8/2023).
NETA is one of ten passenger car manufacturers with electric batteries. Now, Neta is the brand with the fastest growth in 2021 because it has a growth rate that is twice the average growth rate for the electric vehicle industry in China.
Now, Neta is trying to meet the needs of the Indonesian people as a country that has high potential to become the center of the automotive industry in ASEAN. It does this by offering electric vehicles equipped with advanced technology.
“We hope that NETA will be well received and can synergize with a good vision and mission in Indonesia. The key to the establishment of NETA is the innovation and smart technology that we embed because in our opinion, a car with digital technology is more than just an ordinary car,” said Chengjie.
Neta is opening pre-orders during GIIAS 2023, and going forward it will assemble its electric vehicles locally in Indonesia starting in Q2 2024. Commitment that Neta continues to maintain as a form of commitment in supporting government policies.
“As a first step, the Indonesian people can pre-order during GIIAS 2023 for electric vehicles that can support the lifestyle mobility of the Indonesian people,” said Chengjie.
