Lando Norris Tops F1 2024 Bonuses, Despite Verstappen’s Victory

In the world of Formula 1, Max Verstappen may have emerged as the champion of the 2024 season, but it is Lando Norris who saw his wallet expand the most, thanks to a fantastic bonus he received. According to the latest data, Norris pocketed a US$23 million bonus (approximately IDR 345.000.000.000) for his outstanding performance, which saw him finish as the runner-up in the driver’s championship. Additionally, Norris secured four Grand Prix wins, closing the gap with Verstappen.

His McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, also received a sizable bonus. With a US$17 million bonus (around IDR 255.000.000.000), Piastri contributed to McLaren’s win in the Constructors’ Championship, adding to his earnings, which were further bolstered by a salary of US$5 million.

Meanwhile, Verstappen, who dominated the second half of the season despite dealing with an underperforming car, only pocketed a US$15 million bonus (approximately IDR 225.000.000.000), although he successfully defended his world champion title.

On the other hand, Ferrari’s duo, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, each received US$12 million (around IDR 180.000.000,000) and US$9 million (around IDR 135.000.000.000) bonuses, respectively, for their results that helped Ferrari finish second in the Constructors’ standings.

Mercedes’ George Russell earned a bonus of $8 million (around IDR 120.000.000.000) after two Grand Prix wins, while Lewis Hamilton received US$2 million (approximately IDR 30.000.000.000) following his solitary win at Silverstone.

As for Sergio Perez, likely in his final F1 season, he took home a $7.5 million bonus (around IDR 112,500,000,000), although his season ended on a downturn after a promising start with four podiums in the first five races.
