Lamborghini Conventional Sports Cars Sold Out and No longer Produced

Lamborghini’s conventional sports cars have finally sold out and will no longer be produced. Starting next year, it is certain that the car company bearing the berserk bull logo will no longer make sports cars with gasoline engines.

Next year’s car production will be focused on hybrid-engined cars. This was revealed by the CEO of Lamborghini Automobili, Stephan Winkelmann to the German published media, WELT, recently.

“Orders for Lamborghini Huracan and Urus are full and will no longer be produced next year,” explained Stephan Winkelmann.

Currently, there are only two choices of conventional-engined sports cars provided by Lamborghini, namely the Lamborghini Huracan and Lamborghini Urus. Both cars are equipped with twin turbo V8 engines with a cylinder capacity of 4.0 liters.

The discontinuation of production of the Lamborghini V8 engine car follows other engines that have been euthanized first. Previously in 2022, Lamborghini stopped producing sports cars with the Naturally Aspirated V12 engine in the Lamborghini Aventador.

Next year, Lamborghini will focus on welcoming the electrification era. They have even disbursed funds of 1.8 billion Euros or reaching Rp. 29.2 trillion to make electrified sports cars.

Planned in early 2024, Lamborghini will present the Lamborghini Revuelto. The sports car, mentioned by Autoblog, is equipped with a V12 engine combined with Plug-In Hybrid technology.

“Afterwards at the end of the decade, Lamborghini will make a pure electric sports car,” explained Stephan Winkelmann.

The lack of sales of Lamborghini’s conventional sports car is also good news for the car company based in Sant Agata, Bologna. This means that their sales continue to increase over the years.

In 2022 they have set a sales record because they managed to send 9,233 cars to consumers. This figure beats sales records in 2021 with 8,420 units. So it’s not impossible that Lamborghini will set another sales record this year.
