Pickup cars are getting cooler and more sophisticated. After the Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota Hilux arrived with new makeovers and advanced technology, now it’s the Isuzu D-Max’s turn to do the same.
Quoted by Where Car, Monday (9/10/2023), Isuzu officially gave a new refresh to their flagship pickup car, the Isuzu D-Max, in Thailand. The new makeover provided by Isuzu is very significant because it has succeeded in making the Isuzu D-Max look contemporary.
Not only that, Isuzu even presents six variants of the Isuzu D-Max. The six are X-Series, Spark, 4 Door Pickup, 2 Door Pickup, and the highest V-Cross 4×4.
Each variant has several advantages. It’s just that the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 4×4 is the most luxurious and most charming. This pickup car is given many luxury elements such as seats that look luxurious with premium leather and are wide.
“This seat can reduce the heat produced by the body while driving a car,” wrote Isuzu on their official website.
The interior appearance is also no less noteworthy because of the two large screens. The first screen is a nine-inch head unit. The touch screen can maximize Android Auto, Wireless Apple Car Play, and other advanced connectivity.
The second screen is a seven-inch digital MID screen. The screen behind the steering wheel can even be personalized as desired.
This pickup car is also equipped with paddle shifters. So the driver doesn’t need to bother changing hands when changing the transmission lever.
From the exterior appearance, the Isuzu D-Max also tries to appear aggressive. The new grille at the front is somewhat similar to the new Isuzu Mu-X which is also being marketed in Indonesia. The LED combination headlights make the Isuzu D-Max look very modern.
On the back side, this light commercial car is also much more attractive. The LED rear lights are triple-stacked, making the rear tailgate stand out more.
Unfortunately, major changes to the exterior and interior were not followed in the technical sector. Isuzu seems to still be satisfied with the old Isuzu D-Max engine, namely a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.9-liter turbo and a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3.0-liter turbo in the V-Cross variant.
The 1.9-liter turbo engine can produce 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross 4×4 is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo engine with a maximum power of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm.
Prices start from 577,000 Baht or around IDR 243.1 million to 917,000 Baht or the equivalent of IDR 386.4 million.
This Isuzu D-Max facelift will certainly be an attractive choice for Indonesian people. The reason is that this type of car is very useful for mining, plantation, and logistics business activities which are the main businesses in the country.
