PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) launched three electric cars at once at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday (15/2/2024). This is Hyundai’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.
Previously, Hyundai confirmed that it would launch two cars at the IIMS 2024 exhibition. However, it did not state in detail what type of car would be launched at this national automotive event.
The three electric cars that Hyundai introduced at IIMS 2024 are the All New Kona Electric, Seven Concept, and Ioniq 5 Batik.
Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID said that the All New Kona Electric is a choice for Indonesian consumers. In fact, this type of SUV electric car is priced at a more affordable price.
“At IIMS 2024 we are introducing the All Mew Kona Electric. “Hyundai’s newest line up in the compact electric SUV segment will come with a more affordable price, simple and smart design, and is equipped with Bluelink and MyHyundai,” said Fransiscus slSoerjopranoto, Chief operating officer of PT HMID, in Central Jakarta, Thursday (15/2/ 2024).
Apart from that, Hyundai is also bringing a concept electric car, the Seven Concept, to be introduced to the people of Indonesia. Later, this car will become a competitor to the Kia EV9.
“Today, at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show, we are bringing the Seven Concept,” said WooJune Cha, President Director of PR HMID.
Then, Hyundai also launched the Ioniq 5 Batik which will be sold in limited units. However, it was not stated in detail how much would be distributed.
Visitors who want to see the three electric cars can visit the Hyundai booth in Hall D JIExpo Kemayoran, at IIMS 2024.
For ticket prices, on weekdays (Monday-Thursday) IDR 50 thousand, and weekends (Friday-Sunday) IDR 85 thousand. Especially for February 15 or Premium Day, it is sold for IDR 150 thousand
