Hyundai All-New Santa Fe Hybrid Set to Launch Next Month, Challenging Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner

PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has officially announced the upcoming launch of the all-new Santa Fe Hybrid in Indonesia. This model will be Hyundai’s first hybrid in the country and is predicted to be a serious competitor to the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner in the SUV segment.

According to a press release received by the editorial team, the Hyundai all-new Santa Fe is set to launch in October 2024, although the exact date has not yet been announced.

Woojune Cha, President Director of PT HMID, stated that the arrival of the all-new Santa Fe is a response to the very positive reception of the previous model. “Since its introduction in Indonesia in 2021, the Santa Fe has continued to receive positive feedback from the public. With a more spacious interior, greater engine power, and the latest technology, the all-new Santa Fe is ready to meet customer needs and preferences,” Woojune Cha explained.

Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, emphasized that this launch reflects Hyundai’s commitment to providing mobility solutions tailored to customer needs. “Known for its luxurious and robust impression, the all-new Santa Fe offers exceptional comfort for both daily use and long journeys. We hope this SUV can become a preferred choice for families on their adventures,” he said.

The all-new Santa Fe features a modern, boxy design with headlights shaped like the letter H. At the rear, this SUV boasts the largest tailgate, providing an ideal space for relaxation after outdoor activities.

In terms of performance, the all-new Santa Fe is equipped with a 1.6 T-GDI HEV hybrid engine, as well as an internal combustion engine (ICE) option with a 2.5L GDI gasoline engine. With this combination, the new Santa Fe not only offers efficiency but also performance capable of competing with the Pajero Sport and Fortuner, providing an attractive alternative for consumers looking for an SUV with comprehensive features and reliable performance.

With the launch approaching, the Hyundai All-New Santa Fe Hybrid is expected to capture the attention of Indonesian consumers and provide significant competition in the mid-size SUV segment.
