Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Bambang Soesatyo brought Queen Elizabeth II Car that has high historical value to Indonesia at the Indonesia Motor Expo 2023 (IMX) which opened this Friday (29/9/2023). At that event, Bamsoet, his nickname, showed off his Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II car.
This premium car from England was apparently used by the late Queen Elizabeth II when she came to Indonesia on March 15-22 1974. Instead of using a British Royal airplane, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at that time instead chose to come to Indonesia using the SS cruise ship Northern Star.
The cruise ship was used to carry all Queen Elizabeth II’s needs while she was in Indonesia. Including the royal car Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II.
So, it turns out that this car is now owned by Bambang Soesatyo. This British luxury car can be seen at the Retouchpro Autowerkz booth from Bandung, West Java.
Retouchpro, via their Instagram account, said that Bambang Soesatyo’s car was not only undergoing a detailing process. Instead they did a full restoration of the very historic car.
Talking about the specifications, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a full-size luxury car or full-size sedan that was produced from 1965 to 1980. The Silver Shadow was one of the first sedans to use monocoque body construction.
So, if you are curious about the car, don’t miss the Retouchpro Autowerkz booth at IMX 2023.
