Wuling Motors has finally added a new Wuling Air ev lite variant at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS), Monday (14/8/2023). This tiny electric car from Wuling is now cheaper than electric cars in the Indonesian automotive market.
Dian Asmahani, Brand and Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, said that the Wuling Air ev Lite is priced at IDR 206 million.
It’s just that the price can be reduced to IDR 188 million because Wuling Air ev Lite gets an 11 percent VAT incentive. “This electric car can be ordered now at GIIAS 2023,” said Dian Asmahani.
Previously, it was known that Wuling Air ev had two variants, namely Wuling Air ev Standard Range and Wuling Air ev Long Range. Wuling Air ev Standard Range is priced at IDR 243 million while Wuling Air ev Long Range is priced at IDR 299.5 million.
According to Dian Asmahani, Wuling Motors sees a big opportunity for electric cars that can be reached by all Indonesian people.
Dian said the new Wuling Air ev variant still maintains the character of their flagship electric car, which is compact and easy to use. “Apart from that, it’s very easy to charge,” said Dian Asmahani.
The cheap price tag makes Wulimg Air ev have many differences compared to the other two Wuling Air ev. In terms of the exterior, Wuling Air ev appears with a monotone color.
In addition, in terms of completeness there is also a trimmed. For example, the original two airbags have now become one for the driver. Likewise with the speaker, which is now only one speaker. Wuling Air ev Lite also doesn’t have a parking camera.
