Driving mode turns out to be an interesting selling point for car manufacturers in Indonesia. Many new cars are immediately installed with a driving mode which is believed to help drivers become more astute in dealing with obstacles on the road.
Take for example Chery Omoda 5 GT which already launch by PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) last week. The new variant of the Chery Omoda 5 GT comes in two wheel drive options, Front Wheel Drive (FWD) and All Wheel Drive (AWD).
And what’s more interesting is that the Chery Omoda 5 GT AWD variant has six drives. CSI claims that the six driving modes will enable the Chery Omoda 5 GT AWD to explore various types of contours and textures of roads in Indonesia.

The six driving modes themselves are ECO, NORMAL, SPORT, MUD, SNOW and OFF ROAD. You just have to choose each driving mode according to the road conditions you are facing.
So what are the details of the six driving modes? ECO driving mode itself is a mode where the car will maximize fuel efficiency while supporting an environmentally friendly driving style.
Likewise with NORMAL driving mode. CSI claims this mode will be very suitable for daily activities. The reason is that NORMAL mode will provide comfort and balanced performance by providing a comfortable and efficient driving experience.
The conditions will be different if the Chery Omoda 5 GT AWD car owner chooses SPORT mode. This mode is perfect for adrenaline lovers because it offers aggressive and sharp acceleration and response.
The remaining three driving mode options, MUD, SNOW and OFF ROAD have more specific driving settings. Especially when the car passes through challenging road conditions.
MUD mode is very suitable if the car is going through a challenging and muddy route. This mode is reliable and gives the driver confidence.
Likewise, SNOW mode is suitable for wet and slippery road surfaces. The car engine will provide more traction on the wheel rotation that the Chery Family needs, making the journey smoother.
Lastly is OFF ROAD mode. This mode is claimed by CSI as a mode where the car can truly go on an adventure. However, this doesn’t mean that the difficult terrain you are traversing is really very difficult. For this, of course you need an off-road car with special specifications.
