Toyota will present a mini-sized Land Cruiser mini next year. Quoted by the Drive website, Wednesday (27/9/2023), this car is expected to make people scramble again like its older brother, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, did.
It is known that the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is currently experiencing a fairly long pivot period due to high demand. It could be that the same thing will happen to the mini Toyota Land Cruiser which has a very attractive design.
“This car will be the production version of the Toyota Compact Cruiser EV which was presented in 2021,” said Drive.
Even though the concept car being made is electric, this Toyota will actually have conventional diesel and petrol engines. This happens because the cars targets activities outside the region.
It is estimated that the engine used will be a Toyota Corolla Cross engine combined with hybrid technology. Apart from that, there is also a 2.5 liter hybrid engine option which is offered by the new Toyota RAV4.
Interestingly, the Japanese car company actually wants to use a pure ladder frame chassis as a basis for developing the mini Toyota Land Cruiser. They actually didn’t take advantage of the new TNGA-C platform which has become the backbone of Toyota’s new cars.
