Mitsubishi XForce is present in the Indonesian market with two variants, namely Ultimate and Exceed. Both have different tag.
Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate is sold at IDR 419.1 million. On the other hand, the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed is at IDR 382.5 million.
So what can you get from the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed so that the price difference is IDR 36.6 million?
In terms of design and exterior there is no difference at all between the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate and Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate. Full LED front and rear lights with a T-Shape design are still a mainstay.
Tires and wheels measuring 18 inches remain a mainstay. Likewise with the sporty side skirts that remain in both variants.
The biggest difference is actually in the completeness and interior. First, the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed comes with a sporty interior appearance with a choice of one color on the dashboard.
Unlike the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate, which has a two-tone dashboard display with a premium color combination of White Melange and Mocha.
The head unit is also very different. Mitsubishi XForce Exceed is equipped with an 8-inch touch screen. Unlike the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate, which is 12 inches in size.
Likewise with the MID on the back of the steering wheel. The MID in the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed actually adopts the MID in the Mitsubishi Xpander Ultimate.
So there is no futuristic and fully digital MID display like in the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate. The indicator panels still appear in a conventional style.
Another difference is the absence of Drive Mode. So in the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed there will be no choice of Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud driving modes like those in the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate.
The Mitsubishi XForce Exceed is also not equipped with a premium audio system from Yamaha. The number of complete speakers is also different where the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed only has six speakers. Unlike the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate, which is equipped with eight speakers.
The Mitsubishi XForce Exceed is not equipped with an electronic power tail gate. So to open the rear trunk on the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed is still done manually.
Besides that, the Mitsubishi XForce Exceed also doesn’t have a parking sensor. However, the affordable variant of the Mitsubishi XForce is still equipped with a parking camera.
Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) said that currently people are more interested in the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate. This was felt at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) which took place on 10-20 August 2023.
“Of the 1,100 orders, 90 percent were purchases of the Mitsubishi XForce Ultimate,” he explained.
