Future Toyota Land Cruiser Makes a Big Surprise in Tokyo

Toyota is presenting the Toyota Land Cruiser Se concept car at the 2023 Tokyo Mobility Show which will be held in Tokyo, Japan, Wednesday (25/10/2023). This concept car is Toyota’s interpretation of the Toyota Land Cruiser in the future.

Interestingly, this interpretation is actually the opposite of the current condition of the Toyota Land Cruiser. For example, the use of a monocoque platform which contrasts with the ladder frame platform which has always faithfully accompanied the legendary SUV from Toyota.

Both of these cars are pure electric cars. There is absolutely no intervention from the conventional engine which has been the main driving force of the Toyota Land Cruiser.

“Toyota claims the Land Cruiser Se offers responsive control and the ability to traverse rough terrain very well. Likewise, performance with very large torque like that of an electric car,” said Paultan, Wednesday (25/10/2023).

The three designs are a departure from the current appearance of the Toyota Land Cruiser. In contrast to the Land Rover Defender, which still retains iconic parts from the old design, the Toyota Land Cruiser Se actually appears with a new design concept.

The car of the future will actually appear sleeker and more stylish. This design makes the Toyota Land Cruiser seem more dynamic. However, its carrying capacity remains high because it accommodates three passenger seats.

The dimensions are also quite satisfactory because it is 5,150 mm long, 1,990 mm wide and 1,705 mm high. These dimensions are even larger than the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado which is 4,925 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,870 mm high.

Unfortunately, until now Toyota has not shown the interior of the car. What is certain is that this car will steal attention because it carries the name of the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser.
