PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the distributor of Fuso trucks and buses in Indonesia, will enliven the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2024 (GIIAS), held from July 17-28 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, with various exciting programs. One of the main focuses of Fuso’s presence at GIIAS 2024 is the introduction of the Fuso eCanter electric truck.
At GIIAS 2024, KTB will officially start selling this electric truck in Indonesia. This effort is a long-term step by KTB to support the government’s desire to increase electrification efforts and reduce emission levels.
Previously, the Fuso eCanter underwent feasibility tests and proof of concept (PoC) studies conducted by partners and prospective Fuso eCanter customers. This announcement is planned for the first day of GIIAS 2024, or press day, in Hall 1 of ICE BSD. Specifically, it will take place at 1:00 PM WIB according to the launch schedule given to KTB by the organizers.
“We invite you on July 17 to witness the eCanter electric truck that we have prepared since last year,” said Catrine Amanda Yusril, Public Relations of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), during the GIIAS press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday (June 12, 2024).
Not only the official launch announcement, but KTB will also hand over the Fuso eCanter directly to customers who have placed orders.
“On July 18, we will also hold a handover ceremony for the newly launched eCanter units, so after the launch, there will be customers buying it. We await who the customers are to come to our booth,” she added.
In addition to presenting electric trucks, KTB also aims to electrify or enliven GIIAS 2024 with various educational activities. At Indonesia’s largest automotive exhibition, they will hold a community gathering on July 21, 2024.
In this event, KTB will invite Fuso fans and customers to see firsthand the latest products and technologies, including the ins and outs of the Fuso eCanter technology.
Additionally, three modified Fuso trucks will be showcased. These trucks are specially customized while still meeting regulations to demonstrate the flexibility of Fuso commercial vehicles in the world of modification.
“These three modified Fuso trucks are not only to delight visitors to the Fuso booth at GIIAS but will also be reviewed by media friends,” said Okky.
