From the All-New Seres E3 to MAB’s Military EV: A Sneak Peek at PEVS 2025 Surprises

Indonesia’s biggest electric vehicle exhibition, the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2025, is set to make a return at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, from April 29 to May 4, 2025. This event will serve as the launchpad for the latest electric cars from various brands, complete with cutting-edge eco-friendly automotive technologies.

During a press conference held in Jakarta on Tuesday (April 21), several automotive manufacturers began teasing the surprises they’re bringing to PEVS 2025. One of the highlights is the debut of the all-new Seres E3, a fresh electric SUV from Chinese automaker Seres.

“PEVS 2025 will be a special moment for us as we introduce the all-new Seres E3 for the very first time. We’ll reveal the full specifications soon,” said Doni Putra Okten Pratama, Head of Sales and Marketing at PT Sokonindo Automobile.

While specs remain under wraps, the all-new Seres E3 is expected to be a compact electric SUV with seating for up to five passengers. With its modern design and eco-conscious performance, it’s likely to catch the eye of EV enthusiasts.

But Seres isn’t the only one bringing a surprise. Local brand Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB) is set to unveil not one, but two new models at PEVS 2025 — one of which is specially designed for military use, marking an ambitious and innovative step for the company.

“We’ll be launching two new vehicles, including one developed specifically for military applications,” said Nanang Ahmad Suryana, Marketing Communication Manager at MAB.

Meanwhile, Wuling is also turning up the excitement by announcing a brand-new EV line. Although details remain scarce, Wuling has confirmed it will showcase an electric vehicle that has never before been seen in Indonesia.

“There’s a surprise coming from us at PEVS 2025. This model will be making its debut on Indonesian soil,” said Brian Gomgom, Public Relations Manager at Wuling Motors.

In total, 12 automotive brands have confirmed their participation at the event, including: MAB, DFSK, Seres, Wuling, Build Your Dreams (BYD), Kalista, BMW, Prestige, Hyundai, Mini, Denza, and Chery.

Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, expressed strong optimism for the event. “We’re aiming for over 40,000 visitors and a total transaction value exceeding IDR 400 billion,” he said.

With an exciting lineup of new electric vehicles and innovative technologies on display, PEVS 2025 promises to be a must-visit event for automotive lovers and fans of sustainable technology in Indonesia.
