Merry Christmas 2023. For those of you who spend this holiday watching Christmas-themed films, you will definitely feel that there is something very unique.
Based on a survey conducted by Vanarama, it turns out that Ford and Chevrolet are the two cars that most often appear in Christmas-themed films. Quoted from El Pais, Monday (25/12/2023), this conclusion is based on a survey of the 20 most famous Christmas films so far.
Some of them are Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually, and Die Hard. Of the dozens of Christmas films, 367 car brands were used as supporting films.
“The result is that Ford is the car brand that appears most frequently in these films. Of the 20 films observed, Ford appeared in 18 films,” said Vanarama.
The only two films that do not feature Ford cars are The Santa Claus 2 and The Santa Claus 3. The Ford models most often used in these films are the Ford Crown Victoria and the Ford Ecoline.
The Ford Crown Victoria is the official car of the United States Police. The film that most often shows this car is Elf, played by Will Ferrell.
Furthermore, another original American car, namely the Chevrolet, is the second four-wheeled vehicle that is most often present in Christmas films. In total, there are 14 films that use the car with the bow tie logo.
“The film that uses the most Chevrolets is Home Alone 2. There are seven Chevrolet cars in the film played by Macaulay Culkin,” explained Vanarama.
What is interesting from these observations is that there is one car that is not a genuine American brand. Toyota, a Japanese-made car, is in third place. Of the 20 films observed, 11 films used Toyota brand cars.
