Electric motorbike manufacturers in Indonesia are starting to expand in the international market. Some of them are now starting to enter the export market. So don’t just focus on meeting domestic or domestic needs.
This was demonstrated by the electric motor manufacturer United E-Motor namely PT Terang Dunia Internusa (PT TDI). Recently they collaborated with a company in Malaysia to distribute United E-Motor electric motorbike in neighboring countries.
“We have signed a cooperation agreement with a company in Malaysia to become a United E-Motor distributor. In the near future, United’s electric motorbikes will be exported to Malaysia. For other countries, we are exploring an increasingly positive direction,” said General Manager of PT TDI Andry Dwinanda recently.
He said that the United Bike brand was well known in neighboring countries. Such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Australia. PT TDI has built a United brand and business for more than 31 years, including a focus on the export market.
Andry Dwinanda said, this strong brand would certainly be an added value for the company in marketing its products to foreign countries.
“We have decades of experience in exporting bicycles. Already have a network of partners abroad. This is one of the good differentiations of United E-Motor compared to local competitors,” said Andry.
Andry admits, since the beginning PT TDI has always been export-oriented, but that does not mean ignoring the national market. “The national market remains a priority. We are committed to our stakeholders to ensure that the supply of products, spare parts and other services is always safe at the dealer’s door. However, strategically we still need foreign markets to maintain more stable or increase sales figures,” he said.
With the export target, continued Andry Dwinanda, this has spurred PT TDI to produce higher quality, innovative and competitive electric motorcycle products. To note, in the national market, PT TDI is increasing market penetration in Java, Bali, Sumatra and Sulawesi. Each province is handled by one to two authorized stores.
