A rare Lamborghini Revuelto was involved in a crash on the Jombang-Mojokerto toll road , specifically at KM 697-B. The multi-billion-rupiah supercar, which only two units in Indonesia,  rear-ended a Suzuki Ignis, leaving the compact car heavily damaged. The driver, Gabriel Rey, CEO of the crypto platform Triv and a well-known “Crazy Rich” from Surabaya, has finally spoken out.

Through his personal Instagram account, @gabrielrey99, he confirmed that no one was seriously injured in the accident and that he has fully compensated the Ignis owner for all damages.

“Thankfully, there were no casualties, and I’ve already covered 100% of the damages. I’m also grateful I didn’t suffer any injuries,” Gabriel said in an interview posted on the Crypto Wave YouTube channel on Saturday (May 3, 2025).

He added that his rare Lamborghini is currently undergoing repairs and is expected to be restored within two months.

“The Lamborghini is now in recovery. It should be back to its original condition in about two months,” he explained.

The accident took place at 10:10 AM local time. The Lamborghini Revuelto crashed into a Suzuki Ignis driven by a Gresik resident named Dimas. The supercar didn’t stop until it hit the guardrail on the left side of the toll road. The impact left the front end of the Lamborghini severely damaged, its hood detached, bumper and headlights smashed. The Ignis also sustained significant damage.

Two passengers in the Ignis suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, Gabriel and a female passenger in the Lamborghini escaped without serious harm. Astra Tol Jomo’s Head of Operations, Zanuar Firmanto, suggested that the crash occurred because Gabriel failed to maintain a safe following distance while trying to overtake another vehicle.

“The Lamborghini driver likely failed to anticipate and maintain a safe distance, which led to the collision,” Zanuar said.

The crash has drawn attention due to the ultra-luxury car involved. The Revuelto is no ordinary vehicle. First launched in 2023, it’s the successor to the Aventador and marks Lamborghini’s major step toward electrification.

The Revuelto features a 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors, producing a combined output of 1,001 horsepower. It’s the most powerful Lamborghini ever built, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. Globally priced at around USD 608,000, it can fetch over IDR 20 billion in Indonesia due to heavy taxes.

Despite its blistering performance, this accident serves as a stark reminder that safety should always come first, no matter how luxurious the ride. Now, the public waits to see whether the crypto tycoon behind the wheel will drive more cautiously moving forward.
